Oh boy, squid again!
But first let me tell you what's going on for November.
What's New:
I know, it's the moment you've all been waiting for. Nope, the genealogy data files aren't ready, if that's what you're thinking. Sorry, but they are almost ready to post. We're still tweaking them. Instead, here is a picture of me and my first grandson Evan Huyer, on his first visit to New Hampshire, at age 1 and 1/2 years, out exploring the Swift River that runs along the north side of the famous Kangamangus Highway in the White Mountain National Forest. But, since the river was here first, I should say the Kangamangus Highway runs along the south side of the Swift River, just to be politically correct. And in "First-in-the-Nation" New Hampshire, you'd better get it straight. You never know if and when some Yankee Republican tour guide might read this. However, I'm an Independent
Yankee boy and I'll say whatever I please because it's a free country and this
rhetoric is covered by the First Amendment.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. Evan had a great time... even though he won't remember any of it. He might find humor in reading about the trip later in life. He might think his grandfather is whacked after reading this and having his picture plastered on the Internet for all the world to see.

What's Not New:
Politics in New Hampshire. It never seems to stop. As soon as one election campaign stops another starts. And does it ever get thick.
A lot of it is crap if you ask me. If you want to get a different slant on politics check out Tom Goonan's writings at
http://www.lpcolorado.org/jeffco/ or check out his links page at
http://www.lpcolorado.org/jeffco/tomslinks.html It would appear that he is quite active in politics. Good job Tom!
It is a tough job and I'm glad you're doing it.
The leaves have all fallen down. It was a spectacular Fall season here. Leaf-peepers came from all over the country to ride around the countryside and go Ooo-Aah. Yah, we were among them too. The weather was perfect once again and the cash registers were ringing all over the place.
Unfortunately none of them belong to me.
What's New:
I did a search at Yahoo for "Goonan" the other day and came up with 1550 hits. Come on people let's get some more stuff out there. Everybody should have a
web page out there. Most of them were well deserved commentaries on Sci-Fi author Kathleen Ann Goonan's writings, but many of them were of references to Goonans from all over this big blue rock we call home and quite a few were personal
web pages. I like it! Maybe I'll index them all and post them on my links page.
Well folks that's all she wrote for today, November the 4th, in the year of our Lord, 2000 AD.
I gotta go chop wood now... Winter is coming!
Aye, and Happy Birthday to me Mum! And thanks! I love you!
Ah... what happened to October you ask? Ah... me too. I guess with all
the leaf-peeping I just plain forgot about it.
